Counseling
We need a place to be seen, supported, guided.
Ashleigh Davis, LISW-S EMDRIA
East Palestine, New Middletown,TELEHEALTH
Ashleigh believes that sometimes the people around us simply cannot hold space for the depth of what we’re moving through, and we need a place to be seen, supported, and guided with compassion and skill. She believes each person already holds the wisdom they need to heal, and her role is to help quiet the mind and calm the nervous system so that inner knowing can be heard and trusted again. Therapy is always client centered, with the person fully in charge of the direction and pace of treatment.

Through the therapeutic relationship, we begin to recognize old attachments, stories, and survival patterns that no longer serve us, gaining clarity and setting new intentions for the reality we want to create. Healing is a return to our natural state of wholeness, an integration of newfound wisdom into daily life through action, awareness, and embodiment. By slowing down, reconnecting with nature, and engaging our senses, we remember that fragmentation is an illusion of the mind and that true healing happens when we come home to the oneness within ourselves.

Ashleigh’s work is grounded in trauma-informed care and supports individuals through a wide range of life experiences, including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, disaster response, and major life transitions. She also supports those living with chronic or terminal illness and the loved ones who care for them. My approach is inclusive, compassionate, and affirming of LGBTQIA+ identities, honoring each person’s unique path.

She enjoys working with clients exploring spirituality, faith, or questions of meaning and purpose, helping them integrate these experiences with grounding and authenticity. As a certified EMDR therapist, she draws from mindfulness, somatic awareness, and her background in yoga, meditation, and sound healing to help clients reconnect with their mind, body, and spirit.

Ashleigh earned her Associate of Applied Science in Human Services and Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Kent State University, as well as her Master of Social Work from Youngstown State University. She also is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Yoga Alliance, EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA)

When asked what she’s awesome at, Ashleigh replied, “I’m known for creating a space that feels safe, grounding, and real. I show up authentically and bring a deep sense of presence and intuition into my sessions. Because I’ve done the transformational work myself, through years of meditation, yoga, and self-inquiry, I can hold space for others to do the same with empathy and trust. Check out my bio under the wellness section to learn more about my holistic offerings!”

“My therapy dog, Cedric, and I are a certified pet therapy team and his signature man bun usually steals the spotlight wherever we go! We’ve been featured in the media for our visits to schools, libraries, workshops for adults with disabilities, first responder and veteran events, and Hospice of the Valley volunteer work.”
