Wellness

Wellness is found through our struggles and the triumphs of those struggles.

Daniel believes that wellness is a term to describe the numerous components of mental health, and the journey it takes to find that feeling of “well”. To him personally, wellness is found through our struggles and triumphs over those struggles. Our struggles are a way to learn and grow (even if painful), but our triumphs over said struggles create a well feeling internally that we can then pass onto others so they too can find joy in freedom in their respective journey.

Daniel finds that he can relate to people well because of his past experiences. He had a difficult time with self-esteem, depression and anxiety, so he feels that opening up and being vulnerable with others allows their walls to come down, so you can provide the best care possible to them. Daniel is firm in his faith in Jesus, who has restored his overall view of life and has given him the opportunity to live without fear. He gives him all of the glory and will continue to allow him to lead Daniel in his journey and his practice.

He earned his Associate’s degree at Kent State University in 2016, as well as being an East Palestine High School alum since 2010. Prior to working at Insight, he has worked in numerous positions serving the inner-city to rural areas providing mental health care to those in need. Daniel previously worked in the Youngstown, Warren and East Palestine areas to offer support and care to a vast array of kids in need of hope. He is in the process of obtaining his certification in personal training and looking to supplement his mental health services to physical health as well.

When asked what Daniel believes he is awesome at, Daniel replied, “I find that I am awesome at making people feel like they are not alone in their struggles. I have found that the best way to do this is by simply listening and understanding, then applying personal situations of relatability; people gravitate towards honesty. I find that I am empathetic, understanding and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. I enjoy going to the gym, growing spiritually, and being the best possible husband and father-to-be for my family.”

“I am a high school baseball coach at Beaver Local.”
