Gia believes that we are all a work in progress. She believes that counseling and wellness are tools for us to utilize so that we can be a better version of ourselves today, than we were yesterday. She believes that healing is not linear, and that there is always room for growth.

Gia has ten years of experience working with adolescents and adults who have faced trauma. Her specialty areas include professional and personal experience in regards to foster care, adoption, and kinship care. As well as family and couples counseling. She is skilled in anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Gia also enjoys working with young adults navigating the stressors of early adulthood.

She has received a Masters Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University and a TBRI Practitioner Certification from Karen Purvis Institute.

When asked what Gia believes she is awesome at, Gia replied, “I am awesome at truly meeting people where they are. I excel at providing a judgment-free space for my clients to feel safe while working on their mental health as well as future life goals. I am also excellent at finding the silver lining, even in the most stressful situations.”

“A fun fact about me is that I have a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art. I specialized in Sculpture and Ceramics. I love to create and work with my hands, and I truly believe that my creative mind is one of my best attributes in my therapeutic practice.”
