Counseling
Healing journey can look different for everyone.
Alexis Vogler, LPC

Salem, East Palestine, and Canfield, TELEHEALTH

Alexis believes that no matter what we experience as humans, it can be HARD. Through counseling and healing, skills, tools, and knowledge can be learned to help maneuver life as functional as possible so that we can be the best humans in our own journey. She believes that the therapeutic process and healing journey can look different for everyone, so her role is to walk alongside with you on your path to become whole.

She is EMDR trained, and specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, TF-CBT, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps her specialize through a trauma focused lens throughout the counseling process. She also loves to work with depression, anxiety, bipolar and/or other mood-related struggles. For younger children, she is experienced in play therapy to provide work in social skill areas and emotional regulation.

Alexis holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Philosophy from Youngstown State University. She continued at YSU to earn her M.S. Ed in School and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In undergrad, Alexis was involved and president of Psi Chi, an international honor society for psychology students. During graduate school, she was a member of Chi Sigma Iota, an international honor society for counseling students. Alexis is now a current member of ACA, the American Counseling Association.

When asked what Alexis believes she is awesome at, Alexis replied, “Ya’ll, I LOVE to be creative, whether it is creating FABULOUS and customized posters/handouts, journals, writing prompts, telling stories, creating (therapeutic) games, and so on. Also, I believe in connection between a client and a counselor, so no matter what we may be experiencing through the counseling process, I can promise that the personal relationship with be established; in other words, I like to be REAL with my clients.”

“I love cats, have 13 tattoos, and love to express myself when it comes to creativity, fashion, and so on.”
