Counseling
Insight is a crucial mechanism for change.
Rachel Biro, LPCC
Boardman, TELEHEALTH
Rachel believes the therapeutic relationship is key to allowing the other pieces of the therapeutic process to successfully unfold for clients. Not only is engagement important to Rachel, but also the process of helping individuals and families to develop insight. She believes that insight is a crucial mechanism for change and it is powerful in allowing people to develop new ways of responding and adapting to life’s challenges.

She specializes and focuses in helping adults, individuals and couples overcome anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship struggles, family changes, and parenting issues.

Rachel holds a Masters degree in Education from the University of Akron where she majored in Marriage and Family Therapy.

When asked what Rachel believes she is awesome at, Rachel replied, “I am passionate about helping families, individuals and couples rebuild their lives and relationships, and I strive to make therapy a very collaborative experience. This allows for honesty and transparency to be at the forefront of the therapeutic relationship and process.”

“I also hold a master’s degree in piano performance. Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a concert pianist and taught as an adjunct professor in the piano department at a music conservatory. Music is still a big part of my life and can be a powerful tool for calming and healing.”

Angela Austin, LPC is under the supervision of Trish Taylor, LPCC-S, E.1700370-SUPV.
