Counseling can be a wondrous journey of healing and change.
Sophie Marino, LSW, MSW
East Palestine, TELEHEALTH
Sophie believes counseling is intimidating and scary for many, but can be a wondrous journey of healing and change, by learning about oneself.

She has worked with children and adolescents (3-18yo) for five years. She previously worked with residential youth, foster families and children in foster care. Sophie is well-versed in working with children, adolescents, and their guardians. She is knowledgeable in utilizing the framework of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) with these populations.

Sophie holds a Bachelor degree of Social Work from Slippery Rock University & a Minor in Animal-Assisted Interventions she received in 2019; she is also a Licensed Social Worker, earned in 2019; she also holds a Masters degree in Social Work, earned in 2023, at Youngstown State University.

When asked what Sophie believes she is awesome at, Sophie replied, “I am awesome at providing an open space for clients or parents to be provided empathy and understanding of their problem areas. I am also awesome at listening to clients and meeting them where they are in their therapeutic journey.”

“I have been ice skating my whole life and know a few tricks!”
