Possess a level of physical and emotional wellness to compete at the highest level.
Andrew Ryan, LPCC-S
Austintown, TELEHEALTH
Andrew was always inspired by the quote, “If you don’t make time for your WELLNESS, you will be forced to make time for your ILLNESS.” Wellness is the level of health we possess mentally emotionally, and physically as we function in day to day life and activities. In the context of sports mental health, athletes, coaches and teams as a whole must possess a level of physical and emotional wellness to compete at the highest level. This requires healthy and consistent habits before, during, and after every game or competition. Our Sports Mental Health Program can assist in developing and maintaining vital skills to assist athletes and coaches of every level.

He has worked with athletes in a variety of sports from youth to collegiate levels for over 10 years, assisting in everything from performance anxiety and injury recovery to leadership development. Andrew is also able to assist teams and organizations in developing leadership and team culture through counseling and/or consultation. In addition, he can provide mental health education to any organization, coach, and/or administrators in need of the knowledge needed to maintain the mental health and wellness of athletes and staff.

Andrew holds a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Pennsylvania State University.

When asked what Andrew believes he is awesome at, Andrew replied, “I take great pride in empowering others to be the best versions of themselves. To see another person release their doubt and limiting beliefs is an incredible experience that never gets old.”

“I am a Fastpitch Softball Coach.”
