Counseling
It’s about guiding individuals to their own path of healing.
Madisyn Carter, CT
East Palestine, East Liverpool

As a graduate intern in a clinical mental health program, Madisyn believes counseling is a collaborative process rooted in empathy, trust, and respect. True healing happens when individuals feel safe, seen, and supported, allowing them to explore their experiences and uncover their strengths. Counseling is not about fixing but rather guiding individuals to their own paths of healing and resilience.

As a graduate intern, her areas of specialty include working with individuals navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. Madisyn is passionate about fostering a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their emotions and experiences at their own pace.

She graduated with honors from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies. Madisyn is currently obtaining her Master’s degree in the Clinical Mental Health program at Youngstown State University and will be graduating in the Fall of 2025. She is also part of the American Counseling Association.

When asked what Madisyn believes she is awesome at, Madisyn replied, “I am awesome at bringing a unique blend of authenticity, compassion, and transparency to my work. My natural empathy allows me to genuinely meet clients where they are, fostering a safe and compassionate environment for healing and self-discovery.”

“I love iced coffee, spending time with my family and friends, and using my film camera.”
