Counseling
Uncover the strength, resilience, and wisdom already within.
Shanelle Taylor, LPC
Austintown, Boardman, TELEHEALTH
Shanelle believes that every client has what they need to heal — counselors simply assist them with what it takes to find it. Healing is not about fixing someone who is broken, but about helping them uncover the strength, resilience, and wisdom already within them. As counselors, we walk alongside our clients, offering support, insight, and tools to help them navigate their journey. She believes in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where growth is nurtured, change is possible, and each person is empowered to become their most authentic self.

She specializes in working with Post Traumatic Stress, Acute Stress, Adjustment Disorders, Self Esteem, Anxiety, Depression.

Shanelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Master’s degree of Education in Clinical and School Counseling from Youngstown State University. She is also a member of Chi Sigma Iota (the international honor society for counselors) and the American Counseling Association.

When asked what Shanelle believes they are awesome at, Shanelle replied, “My greatest strength lies in connection. I have a natural ability to make people feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether it’s a client in need of support, a student seeking direction, or a colleague looking for collaboration, I show up with authenticity and intention. I listen deeply, speak truth with compassion, and create space for real conversations. People trust me because they know I genuinely care—and that connection is the foundation for growth, healing, and transformation. That’s what I’m good at.”

“I love to travel with my family; it’s where some of our best memories are made. One of our favorite traditions is finding a soul food restaurant in every city we visit. There’s something special about sitting down together and enjoying comfort food that reminds us of home, no matter where we are. We also make it a point to visit the local aquarium and zoo, it’s a must on every trip! Watching our kids explore and learn in those environments is one of the highlights of every journey. And when I’m not on the road, you’ll probably find me in the garden. Digging in the dirt, planting, and watching things grow gives me peace and keeps me grounded.”
