Wellness

Wellbeing is always flowing toward us.

Ashleigh Davis, RYT-200
East Palestine, New Middletown
Ashleigh believes that wellness is not a look, it is a feeling of wholeness when we are in alignment with the highest version of ourselves. Wellness begins by returning to the heart center, where mind, body, and soul reconnect. It’s found in our willingness to feel, to walk through fear and vulnerability, and to honor the wisdom of our bodies. True wellness isn’t about perfection or a fit body; it’s a sense of peace that flows from within, regardless of external validation.

To Ashleigh, wellness is about balance. An embracing of both yin and yang energies; stillness and action, surrender and growth, masculine and feminine. It’s giving ourselves grace in the process and remembering that healing is not a destination, but a continual remembrance that wellbeing is always flowing toward us when we release resistance and allow it in. Wellness is knowing deeply that you are loved and you are never alone.

She offers trauma-informed yoga and meditation practices that help people reconnect with their bodies, calm the nervous system, and cultivate inner trust. Her sessions include yin yoga, chair yoga, and trauma-informed vinyasa, along with guided meditation and sound healing experiences. She also loves weaving together neuroscience, polyvagal theory, breath work, mindfulness, and EMDR-based resourcing in workshops that support emotional regulation and embodied awareness.

Beyond individual and group sessions, Ashleigh provides wellness services for businesses and organizations to help reduce burnout, strengthen resilience, and inspire self-care in the workplace. She leads trainings, webinars, and retreats that combine psycho-education, mindfulness, movement, and restorative practices; creating opportunities for deep rest, reflection, and renewal.

She specializes in bridge mental health and holistic wellness. In her work she integrates mind, body, and spirit through trauma-informed yoga, meditation, and sound healing (involving a variety of instruments including Tibetan singing bowls and tuning forks) combined with principles from neuroscience, EMDR, and polyvagal theory to support emotional balance and resilience. She has a dedicated personal practice in Ashtanga, Baptiste, and Yin yoga, and everything she teaches includes some form of meditation, whether direct or subtle, to help cultivate awareness and presence.

Ashleigh is especially passionate about helping others reconnect with their bodies, reduce stress, and build self-trust through mindfulness and movement. She also focuses on burnout prevention and self-care practices for helping professionals, creating experiences that blend reflection, rest, and embodied healing through group sessions, workshops, and retreats. Her background in psychotherapy and end-of-life care deeply informs her wellness work, allowing her to meet people with empathy, authenticity, and presence.

She holds degrees in Applied Science and Human Services from Kent State University, as well as a Master of Social Work from Youngstown State University. Her licenses and certifications include 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), 30-Hour Yin Yoga Certification, Certified Sound Healing Practitioner and INELDA End-of-Life Doula trained. She is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Yoga Alliance, EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA).

When asked what she’s awesome at, Ashleigh replied, “I’m awesome at showing up authentically and creating space for others to do the same. Everything I share comes from personal practice and lived experience. I don’t just teach concepts; I embody them. Through my own transformational work with meditation and other embodied practices, I’ve learned that authenticity is the foundation of healing. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and real, and I teach what I know to be true through direct experience, inviting others to explore their own inner wisdom in an atmosphere of trust and openness.”

“A fun fact about me is that I’m learning to ski in my 40s, even though it completely terrified me at first. Facing that fear has turned into one of the most rewarding adventures of my life. My three kids snowboard, and now we’re all a little obsessed with winter. Skiing has taught me about perseverance, balance, trust, and most importantly that life is meant to be playful!”
