Counseling
Counseling and wellness are dynamic.
Chandler Carr, CT
East Palestine, Salem TELEHEALTH
Chandler believes counseling and wellness involve fostering growth through active listening, collaboration, and patience while maintaining self-awareness and professional boundaries. Holistic approaches that address mental, physical, and emotional aspects, preventive care, and self-care are essential for sustainable impact. Emphasizing cultural competence and community support enhances the therapeutic process, while interns learn that their well-being is critical to effectively supporting others. Counseling and wellness are dynamic, requiring continuous learning, empathy and adaptability for personal and professional growth.

She specializes in working with children from her experiences as a school counselor.

Chandler holds a Masters Degree in School Counseling from Youngstown State University, and she is currently working to finish her Clinical Masters degree also at YSU.

When asked what Chandler believes she is awesome at, Chandler replied, “I excel at building strong, trusting relationships with clients, staff, and parents. My ability to connect with people easily allows me to create a welcoming and approachable environment where clients feel safe sharing their challenges. I’m awesome at energizing group discussions, fostering collaboration among teams, and advocating for clients’ needs in a way that inspires action. My enthusiasm helps me organize engaging workshops, assemblies, and events that educate and empower clients. With my vibrant personality, I can effectively motivate others, navigate tough conversations with positivity, and create lasting impacts in my school community.”

“I juggle a lot of roles in my life, and I love every one of them! As the oldest sister, I’m naturally a leader and a nurturer, qualities that also shine through as a cheer coach for three teams at a local high school. My home life is equally lively, as I share it with my two playful cats and a loyal dog who keep me on my toes. To top it all off, I recently celebrated one of the happiest moments of my life — I got married this past November! Balancing all these aspects of my life keeps things exciting and full of joy.”
