Jennifer has worked in various roles serving those with substance use disorder, disadvantaged women and children, as well as survivors of human trafficking. No matter the population, she’s been witness to every single person having the answer they are searching for within them. It is both empowering for them and for Jennifer! We all want to be seen and want to be heard. We want connection and to not feel alone. At the end of the day, we are all just trying to feel better.

She specializes in a holistic approach to build therapeutic relationships that prioritize the client’s goals in substance use recovery, mental health complexities including PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and emotional distress through the use of trauma-focused therapies and techniques.

Jennifer holds an undergraduate and graduate degree from YSU. YSU provided her with the flexibility and support she needed in their social work program to help her succeed. Jennifer previously served on a board in NE Ohio that assisted survivors of human trafficking; she is also a part of multiple committees within employment agencies for clinical compliance, policy and procedure, and ethics.

When asked what Jennifer believes she is awesome at, Jennifer replied, “I am EMDR trained and being previously employed at an accredited MET(T)A protocol agency, I utilize a trauma focused approach to meet the goal of decreasing the negative impact of emotional distress.”

“I was Reiki trained in 2020 and have used the energy to create intention candles and start a small business. It’s super fun and healing for me in my self-care routine.”
