Counseling
It is important to find a counselor you truly connect with.
Micah Meloni, LPC
Austintown, TELEHEALTH
Micah believes that counseling offers individuals an opportunity to work on personalized goals and to express themselves without judgement. Counseling is such a personal experience, so it is important to find a counselor who you truly connect with. That being said, Micah values feedback at all points during their time with clients; feel free to share what is working and what is not. He believes that therapy is not a “one size fits all,” as everybody is unique in their goals and challenges, so having goals unique to you, your values, and expectations is important. A strong therapeutic relationship is the biggest predictor of positive outcomes in therapy.

Micah’s specialty areas include LGBTQ+ Issues, Transgender Issues and Advocacy, Relationship Challenges, DBT Skills, CBT, Anxiety, Depression, Emerging Adults and Adults.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Pre-Counseling from Youngstown State Univeristy in 2022 and his Masters of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Youngstown State University in 2024.
He is also a member of the Ohio Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota (Academic Honor Society).

When asked what Micah believes he is awesome at, Micah replied, “I take pride in my work with marginalized communities and work hard to advocate and support on both an individual and systemic level. As a member of the community, I take personal interest in LGBTQ+ issues; being affirming, supportive, and considerate of each person’s unique challenges in this journey we call life. Needless to say, I prioritize fostering a strong working therapeutic relationship with my clients which helps act as a catalyst for lasting and positive outcomes.”

“I enjoy art in many different forms, I am a classically trained pianist and I enjoy writing music!”
