Wellness

Wellness is about empowering yourself.

Stephanie McDivitt, LPCC-S, ACHT

Stephanie believes that wellness is a holistic and active pursuit of a healthy and fulfilling life. It’s a continuous journey that integrates multiple dimensions to create balance and resilience. Ultimately, she believes that wellness is about empowering yourself to understand your own needs and take ownership of your well-being, leading to a life that feels authentic, balanced, and sustainable.

Her practice utilizes specialized modalities like clinical hypnosis and heart-centered hypnotherapy to help clients work through issues like test anxiety and the lingering effects of PTSD hyper vigilance. She aims to guide clients in practices for soothing and regulating their nervous system, helping them shift from a state of high alert to one of rest and calm.

She also provides specialized wellness services for therapists who struggle with test anxiety, helping them overcome the professional and emotional hurdles that stand between them and their licensure. Her approach utilizes clinical hypnosis and Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy to address the root causes of anxiety. Rather than just focusing on test-taking strategies, she works with her clients to calm the nervous system, release the emotional baggage tied to past academic pressures, and build a deep, inner sense of confidence. This work allows clients to quiet the self-doubt and access the knowledge they already possess, transforming the test-taking experience from one of dread to one of calm and focus.

She attended Franciscan University of Steubenville where she earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling. Stephanie hold licenses and certifications from Heart-Centered Therapies, The Wellness Institute National Certified Counselor and NBCC.

When asked what she’s awesome at, Stephanie replied, “Outside of my practice, I try my best to live my own version of a holistic and well-balanced life. I am passionate about prioritizing my family and believe that true well-being is found in nature, whether through a challenging hike or a peaceful moment in my backyard. I am energized by a lifestyle of positive movement, healthy eating, and loving animals—because for me, a happy life is an active, nourishing, and compassionate one.”

“A life goal of mine is to have my own dairy cow! :)”
